Changes in Stellar Data Recovery for Mac v12.8
• Apple M5 Chip Support Added.
• Online NAS Recovery Support – The software can recover data from Synology, QNAP, and Asustor drives using BTRFS and EXT4 file systems by connecting via an IP address. It automatically detects connected NAS devices and performs recovery within the same network.
• Online Linux Recovery Support – The software can recover data from Linux drives using EXT2, EXT3, and EXT4 file systems by connecting via an IP address.
• Online recovery support has also been added for QNAP Thin Volumes.
• Offline NAS Recovery Support – The software can recover data from Synology, QNAP, and Asustor drives using BTRFS and EXT4 file systems through manual disk connection via cable. It supports recovery from RAID configurations such as RAID 0, RAID 5, RAID 6, SHR1, and SHR2.
• Online & offline NAS recovery: QNAP Static EXT4 volume support in standalone, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, etc.
• For operating systems older than Big Sur (11.0), online NAS recovery is not available. Users can perform recovery using offline NAS.
• Quick Look View and Hex View icons will appear to preview items in the result window when you hover over or click on tree items.
• Time Machine Backup Recovery – A dedicated option is available for recovering Time Machine backups from APFS and HFS+ disks, as well as backups stored in sparsebundle or backupbundle formats created on Apple Time Capsule or NAS devices.
• Support to Import encrypted backups of Time Machine sparse bundles (HFS+/APFS).
• During recovery, if files with the same name are saved in the same directory, only a partial number of files are saved because copying replaces the previous file.
• Fixed crash during deep scan (across NTFS, FAT32, ExFAT, HFS+, and Linux file systems) when adding new RAW formats by dragging 10 sample files, unselecting all formats, and selecting only the newly added format.
• When the Activation key is entered, the “Activate” button should be highlighted as Windows.
